A scientific method is dependent upon clarity regarding how you have worked. Your method should be so well-described that others can scrutinize and repeat your attempt if they wish. In a literature assignment, the final literature search is an important part of your method and should therefore be documented.

Your search strategy should include:

The name of the database
The date for when the search was performed
Eventual filters/limitations
Amount of hits
A copy of your search. This shows how you have searched (together with your search terms)
You are encouraged to provide a link to the search

Your search strategies can be an attachment to your assignment. If you are wondering how you can extract your search strategy, see the next page.
