Booking a slot in the scheduling system (TP)

You must apply for a slot at least three days before the recording. If you are late, contact HF:Studio (see the bottom of the page).

To use the podcast studio, time must be reserved via the university's scheduling system (TP). Information on how to make a reservation and how to use the studio can be found on HF:Podcast Studio’s website. Familiarize yourself with the content on the page.

Once that is done, you can apply for a slot in the studio by following this link (tp.uio.no).

If multiple people need to coordinate a common time, it may be helpful to sit down together to find a time that works for everyone. Try to avoid a time when one or more participants are in a rush, so you can set aside sufficient time for recording. Plan for an additional 30 minutes for file transfer and cleanup to ensure everything is completed and the room is ready for the next users.

Once you have found a time that suits everyone, submit your application. The slot is only reserved once you have received a confirmation from HF:Studio.

Access to the studio

HF:PodkastStudio is located in P. A. Munchs building, on the fourth floor.

The studio is locked with a code lock, and access requires a physical student card with a PIN code. You will receive access once your application is approved. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the system to update.

If you have not received a response to your application within 24 hours, or if you forgot to enter your username in the application form, you can fill out this form to request access to HF:Podcast Studio (nettskjema.uio.no).

Opening hours

The room can be used during the entire building’s opening hours (uio.no). Technical support is not available outside of regular working hours (weekdays 8 AM–3 PM).

The University library's podcast studio

It is also possible to use the podcast studio at the University Library (UiO.no - Norwegian) . Different rules apply for this studio regarding usage, training, and booking procedures. There are also different phone numbers and contact points for user support.
