2.4 Discussions

Discussions allows you to participate in a discussion forum with the instructor and fellow students. This can be organized in different ways, such as a professional discussion about a topic, sharing opinions on a curriculum article, or asking questions. In some courses, participation in discussion forums may be mandatory.

Discussions are structured so that you respond to a post from the instructor. In some discussions, it is possible to respond to others' contributions, and in others, you must publish something before you can see what the others have written. It is also possible to be anonymous, this is something the instructor can set up.

How to participate in discussions with others?

Discussions may have a different design. The concept is nevertheless the same, you engage with posts and respond to others' comments.

Do you see a need for anonymous discussions?  As a student, you can encourage your instructor to enable it.
